Viviane Reding is the European Commissioner for Information Society and Media. Apparently, and I say apparently because I have found no evidence about it yet other than an article in a newspaper, she and her cabinet, that is her lackeys, are going to produce a legal framework for controlling blogs. If this is true, this could potentially be the most blatant attack on fundamental freedoms such as that of speech, freedoms that found a welcome home on the Internet. Eventually, this will not matter, this attempt will die a horrible and tragic death like the ones before it. This is way out of their hands because it is in ours.And thank fuck for that.
